The image data from PSI has been loaded.
Notice the CAD window no longer has that checkered pattern. The PSI image is now overlaid onto the CAD data. In the upper left window notice near the front fender that the image data is not overlaid correctly over the CAD data. That is because a calibration link between the image and the CAD data has not been created yet. |
The CAD alignment tool is shown here. A drawing of the CAD data is placed over the image data. The alignment tool allows the user to place the CAD data over the image with the correct size and orientation.
The CAD data is positioned over the center of the image. It is backward.
The CAD data is turned around and it is made slightly bigger.
The CAD data is now well positioned over the image.
Using the split window feature, very fine adjustments to the CAD positioning can be made.
The image data is now correctly overlaid over the CAD data.
